A little reminder that the 2014 Letterpress calendar, is available on pre-sale. I figure out few people only read the latest blog posts ! The other day, someone was really suprised when I told him I have an online shop, after saying he visits the blog every day ! So, I prefer to repeat myself !

The printing has now started and I will share first images as soon as possible. Half of the "deluxe edition" are now sold, and I am very please with this. Some people ask what was "deluxe" on the deluxe edition, as you can see each card of the calendar has it's own color, and has the paper is very heavy (700 gm), the edges will be painted on the same color. The idea is to have a kind of edges rainbow at the end ! You also can get the normal edition, final calendar should be ready to be send early november.

Every order done during the pre-sale stage will get a special extra item from my archives, AND you will also have the 2 first issues of THREE ebook for free ! As Georges Clooney would said "What else" !

Rewined Candles / Stitch design

I already present Stitch design works, here, here and there, as it is simply one of my favorit studio. The new bags and boxes they have done for the Rewined candles project make me want to highlight it ! It is smart, it is recycled, it is beautifull... So inspiring ! Rewined Candles are all natural soy wax candles poured into discarded wine bottles. And they just have a brand new site !

The beauty of handwriting (HD image to download)

I love handwritten letters, I often found some on fleamarkets but I'm looking for those very graphic, like penmanship...

I often wonder if there are some tutorials of my work, but I never had the time to really make some... and I also think it is good to found your own way to do something that inspire you. But I wanted to share a bit about the process of creating one of the 2014 calendar page and of the cover the last THREE ebook, since both use common elements.

Start with the source, after buying old letters dating from the late 1800s, I scanned them in high definition.

Before continuing, I want to thank those who have already pre-ordered the calendar (and those who will soon do it!). Half of the deluxe edition is already gone, it's very motivating for the future. Printing should start this week ... I also created a Facebook page dedicated to the project if you want to follow in detail.

So for the 2014 letterpress calendar, like for the 2012 one, I illustrated sentence using graphics. For the May page, these are handwriting. I think the pictures explain my job better than me, so here is a breakdown of the process...
