OLFA cutters - CUT TO BUILD

Amazing project by Ogilvy & Mather Advertising (Thailand) to celebrate the 57th anniversary celebrations of the founding of OLFA, a cutters brand.

"We organized an exhibition to show off the performance of all OLFA cutters under the concept “CUT TO BUILD”. We created a pop-up store where every structure down to the smallest detail was crafted from cutting, slitting open, slicing, carving and engraving paper into the desired shapes."

Nyepi Balinese news year / Lars Henkel world

Nyepi, the Balinese new year day...

So, tomorrow is the night before Nyepi here, the Balinese new year day. It’s that time of year once again where the monsters come out. So tomorrow, all the locals go wild with the parade of “ogoh-ogohs”, large monsters made from paper mache by the villagers, which are paraded through the streets and later burned to symbolise a cleansing of negative energies. From midnight, everything goes silent. All phones are switched off, no internet, no electricity, not even flights in and out of Bali for 24 hours.

Time for contemplation and appreciation. A day of total silence across the island. There is no sound, and black cloth is pulled across the windows. Nobody is allowed to work or to go outside, tourists included. No electricity should be used, and no noise is permitted. The idea is that the evil spirits, roused the night before, are duped into thinking that nobody inhabits the island, and decide to go away.

Happy to be here for this strange an usual day (me without electricity... what will I do !!!)

This is just brillant ! As I love to play "Where is Wally" with my daughter, now we can play at "Find Momo"... Momo is a 4 and a half year old border collie, he plays hide and seek, and you have to find him in these great photos...

Merry Christmas / Cereal magazine

Christmas is almost here... and it is strange to be in Bali for it... never do Christmas with 29°C before ;) Anyway, there are so much images online that bring us the christmas spirit, I love these...

I found them in the pinterest of the superb new CEREAL magazine I discover in Singapore, at Book Actually. I love these new magazine focusing on nice moments of life... If yeasterday was the start of a new era, hope it will be one of inspiration & creation !

Merry christmas to all of you, share time with familly far from internet ;) Back posting in some days...
