Nice to meet you : Urban Influence (Seattle part 2)
Started in 2011 when I met Ty Mattson in his Studio (will talk about him in the Walter magazine), I love to met designers when I travel ! With the instagram and others, it becomes even more easier ! I know Urban Influence work and want to contact them... the day after I see a comment on one of my Seattle instagram picture "you are just down our office, you should come and say hey" !!!! That's what I do (some days after) ! I then discover their amazing studio (even if it was a little upside down for some cleaning issues) and share a nice moment with Chaun, Andrew and Stephen... and of course I shoot some picture !
Here comes some of their works

Starbucks Reserve Rostary (Seattle part 1)
I am in USA for a week now and enjoying every moments ! Thanks to Provenance hotels who invite me here to visit their hotels and feel the cities before working on their brand !
In the coming Walter magazine I plan to present Coffee at its best, with nice packaging and places... It will be 1% of what is interesting in coffee as there are so much things to talk about ! I would like to present small and indpendant rostary, but while in Seattle, I can not not present Starbucks ! The first one was open here in 1971 and you still can visit it, and the latest most amazing one is here it ! It is call the Starbucks Reserve Rostary and everything is unique, even the identity ! Images will explain you better, here comes what we shoot there, mixed with official pictures of the place, as it is impossible to do this kind of pictures with so much people inside all the time !
And these are picture of the very first Starbucks, a very small place where all the tourists want to have a coffee !!!
More to come ! Support the Walter magazine and make this project a reality on Ulule !
After weeks of preparation, I am please to accounce the launch of the crowdfunding campaign of the Mr Cup magazine : Walter. We choose Ulule as you can change language and currency.
If you follow this blog, it will not only be a printed version of what you found here or in the ebooks, but a real magazine ! Walter is not another graphic design magazine, or just another design magazine; Walter looks at creativity, on the aesthetic and functional research, regardless of the time and place. Walter is a quarterly magazine of 180 pages, 21x28 cm format. The edition is limited to 3,852 copies (1883 + 1969, dates of birth and death of Walter Gropius). The texts are in English and French.
Why Walter ?
I always love this Walter Gropius (founder of the Bauhaus)
I ask Andy Luce to design the Walter logo and it was great to colaborate with him again. The team of mediafix will design the magazine with me.
You will found much more information on the Ulule page and I hope we could make this new adventure a great one !
