I usually always found the time to post something on the blog, but this time, it was too much ! The Walter 2 magazine is moving well, but even with the success of the first volume and all the subscription, doing a printed magazine is a new thing for me. Walter is not available on major newsstands, only in independent shops and book stores. But it took time to found sellers, time we dedicated to the content and the design of the magazine. We now miss money to print the second volume, so we finally deceided to do a new kickstarter to bring a new light on the project.

The new Walter will feature an article on the making of Creative playing cards created by Joe White or Chad Michaels, and I am please to have them available in the shop again, including the limited edition Artisan Wood box.

 

 

 

 

 

 

One big change is that I now have a creative studio, but also Jef who start working with me ! So I can now sleep almost one more hour every night ! The office is a little messy and empty, but we will soon found time to unpack all the boxes... For time to time, I check in my vintage stuffs and shoot them on instagram !

 

 

And last week I was invited to talk about my work and projects with the Walking Web team ! It is in french, but it is here.

 

 

Jef, who start working with me at the begining of february now work on editorial design and web development. His first mission was to design a dedicated web site to the www.letterpress-calendar.com ! Good start !

 

 

 

I will be one of the speakers at next -ING festival in Dubaï ! Will tell you more about it soon !

 

 

Here comes a new inspiring project by Bravo company, one of the Singapore studio I had the chance to visit and which is feature in Walter magazine volume 1.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We are working on volume 2 and the volume 1 now available in digital. I love smell of ink and paper but if you want to read it, order it now on the Walter web site...

Walter 2 is in progress and it will include an article about handlettring with a selection of projects. Tom Lane, otherwise known as Ginger Monkey is an independent graphic designer & lettering artist. I ask him to participate to this year letterpress calendar but he was too busy ! I hope to have him next year... But the way, the normal edition of the calendar is still available here.
