As stated in one of the sentences of the calendar, "Some things take time." I want to publish those photos long ago, but it seems it was waiting for the right moment! I met Jean-Christophe last summer, after visiting El Calotipo in Spain and Miss Clara in Bordeaux. I met him via facebook and I was attracted by a photo of his buisness card!
When Piers Faccini asked me to help him to print posters accompanied the release of his latest album, I thought it was a good opportunity to do a project together! The paper cut Piers created for the cover of the album are perfect for letterpress! We made four posters, two with the album cover and two with the "lovers", alternating black, blue and red colors.
Jean-Christophe has a true passion for ink and paper, machine and pressure! When I asked "why letterpres" I did not expect his answer: "Well, I discovered it on your blog, I order you 2011 calendar and I figure out "this is I want to do" ! I was tired of making websites, so I bought an Heidelberg press, I disassembled and reassembled it and I learned with the manual! "

Letterpress calendars update and special offer

I figure out I did not update about the letterpress calendars here since I get them ! Too much social media ! If you want one, I made a special offer at 33€ instead of 39€ until christmas... The next project is on its way, and I need a lot of space for it... To give you a clue, the Imaginary moments posters are now sold out !
So, all the calendars are now numbered, and if you order one before december 10th, it is on its way to you. Some picture of the deluxe edition with painting edges (the ones available now have white edges).
I get some stamps done while I was in Bali, they are in plastic and ugly, but usufull, so we play with them to have nice envelops to send them !
So if you want to get one before christmas, you know what you need to do... We also can send it to someone you love and put a personal note, just ask ! I poached two elves to Santa to help me, they await your orders !

listening Glen Hansard - Drive all night EP
I thought I had already published the work of Jessica Hische excellence in the section, and while I was looking for one of her project, I figure out last post about her work here was in... 2009 ! Which was at the really beginning of here carrer !
Jessica is a "letterer, illustrator, type designer, and relentless procrastiworker" and one of the MOST creative woman on earth! Added of her inspiring work on letters, she is behind self-initiated project such as Inker Linker.

She also design this very usufull poster to explain what is the difference bewteen type, typography, font, lettering and calligraphy !

I did not plan to post only about food identites today, but jumping from one site to an other, it seems it is a foody day ! 2 identites (among a list of amazing projects) by Tad Carpenter.
