Another month in Bali... routine is here, a nice one but a routine... so much running... but the iphone is never far. Here comes instagram shots done in january.

 

I received my new letterpress buisness cards (coins ones are nice, but a little heavy...). They have been printed by The gentlemen's press met in Singapore.

 

 

New chair so well assorted with some metal letters ;)

 

I went in the south of the island over the week end and visit the amazing Deus Ex Machina - Temple Of Enthusiasm...

 

... take a coffee at Anomalie Kafe...

 

...get a lunch in the nice Bistrot restaurant...

 

...and found a great vintage shop (but south of bali = tourists = crazy prices).

Last night, I was invited by the HUBUD team (who will soon open a co-working space here in Ubud, Bali) to do a Pecha Kucha talk. For all who do not know, Pecha Kucha (Japanese: ペチャクチャ, chit-chat) is a presentation methodology in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (six minutes and 40 seconds in total).

 

The exercice was interesting, because 6.4 minutes is very short... I deceided to talk about creativity, and how you can create your life... I talk about this blog, my work and all what I do to be where I am... I also talk about Sting, as I start collecting his records when I was 13, and it brings me to speak english, and to create web site !!! And I show other exemple as Trey Ratcliff and Ty Mattson...

 

Hope to do another talk soon, because I loved it !

 

 

 

So, january starts at top speed ! Again, thanks for the support and "orders" of the ebook...

 

Believe it or not these pictures werre taken during the past 2 days only ! So on tusday, I was happy to get a full alphabet sample of the new Helvetica wood collection 3 which is in wood, of course, but covered with recycled metal from varied bins... so the combinations is very surprising and I love the idea that luck plays a role in the creative process... Full collection should be ready on next week, as well as the fabric bags coming with it, and so on first order could be sent... Available for presale here.

 

So, what a year from me !!! One year ago, I was posting about our project to travel the world to see what life can offer and we get so much ! This year, I have spend almost 6 months out of France, I have visit Thailand, Bali & Singapore, I met great designers, I eat amazing food, I did elphant ride, I hug a baby tiger and an Orang Outan, I go into water with a dolphin, I do snorkling and see amazing fishs, I climb a volcano at night to see the sunrise, I do horse ridding on the beach... And of course, I set up the Mr Cup project, the helvetica wood and all the other creative project I have started !!!

 

What usually happen to several years, all this happen in one, just because we deceided it is possible. So, my advice for this new year :

 

And as you probably wait for it, I am working on the best of what I publish here in 2012... But I want to do something different this year, so I am working on it ;)
