After meeting Piers Faccini at the beginning of the year, I asked him if I could take a photo backstage during rehearsals. I always thought it would be an ideal time to take an artist "at work" without disturbing the public ... It was an opportunity last month in Paris, during one of his acoustic concert to promote his amazing new album "Between dogs and wolves". And it was a great moment for me, I loved it!

I just spent two day's work in Paris. Many people think that I live in Paris (France = Paris ;), but for me it is mostly a destination to work. But it is always a pleasure to go there, take the train (it is just 3 hours by TGV) to see the vibrations of the city in contrast to the quiet countryside ... I am currently working on the layout of a superb book on Paris Deco addresses with Elodie Rambaud ! We could get us into two nice places to work : The broken arm & Marcovalod. And icing on the cake, Piers Faccini was a concert Tuesday night at "La Maison de la poesie". The opportunity to realize a dream: to attend rehearsals of artist that I appreciate and take pictures! More pictures soon, for now the instagram shoots...

Last year, exactly on that date, I was in Singapore for the first time. I start meeting designers and creatives and I realy loved that ! If you want to read all the articles I have done with thousand pictures, read the articles in the "Nice to meet you" and "Life and travels" sections. I figure out I still have things to said and show about this very inspiring country/city.
Red dot design museum
Red Dot stands for belonging to the best in design and business. And its museum, dedicated to creativity in all its shapes is in Singapore ! Great to see in real some packaging, magazines or products you usually see only online.
Kam Leng Hotel
Most of the time, I reserve hotel room considering the prices more than the design (hope it would change someday ;) ! I choose this one for the design, the identity was well done (and extended on special travelers kit or water bootles), and they kept the ancient walls during renovation. The problem is that the room was sooooo small !!! Anyway, we had fun with my wife shooting some wood letters and coasters in this hotel... It is something to arrive at the breakfast with a set of strange wood letters and to put them everywhere, I love to look like a crazy family !

The hub coworking space
One of my favorit thing of the 1 year travel was the Hubud co-working space in Ubud, Bali. There are several Co-working spaces or "Hub" worldwide, and I want to visit Singapore one.
On this last picture, it seems France is not ready for co-working !!!!!

Mr Cup Road Trip

I am Back home after a long road trip of around 2000 km ! Here comes a short post in images... We start the trip by Spain, visiting Figueres, Taragona and Zaragoza.
In Zaragoza, after visiting the Pablo Serrano Museum, I plan to visit El Calotipo letterpress studio who will print the 2014 letterpress calendar and we discover the amazing wall painting around the city...
Then we leave Spain and go back to France, direction Bordeaux with a stop in Biarritz and Baryonne.
In Bordeaux we met Phillipe and Vincent from Studio Poa Plume and we do some shoot around the city and discover Phillipe amazing collection of wood type. We share a great dinner with Miss Clara to end up this great day.
Back on the road, we drove to Castre to met JC from Studio Pression, a new letterpress studio I just discover.
As Piers Faccini ask me if I can do art prints for the cover of his new album, we worked together on the printing of these. It was goo to smell ink and paper !
I am now back home and will do detail post about all these great moments all along the coming weeks ! Enjoy life (I do) !
